Taghazout best surf spots

Anchor Point Taghazout (30.545044, -9.725805) is a surf spot on the north side of the village of Taghazout. This is a world-class right-hander who works with a great period of northwestern-oriented swell. Discovered by Australians in the 1960’s, this is a holy grail for advanced surfers travelling to Morocco. Takeoff is difficult but if you are lucky, a tube wave will appear along the point.

When it comes to access, it is easier to enter one of the adjacent cracks and go back and let the series pass.

From Agadir, take the N1 towards the north (coastal road), the place (30.545044, -9.725805) is situated a few hundred metres after Taghazout.

Banana Beach

Banana Beach Taghazout is a surfing spot nestled between the mouth of the oued ( lake ) Tamraght and a rocky point protecting from the north wind. In the right conditions, an accessible long right side appears on the rocky point,else it is a beach break for beginners and the favorite place of the surf schools of the village. When you finish with the waves, you are not far from the Banana village (Aourir). This small city is famous for its tagines and local healthy foods with cheap prices.

How to get there:

From Agadir, take the N1 in a northerly direction (coastal road), the place (30.501677, -9.682290) is just after crossing the river at Aourir.

Devil’s Rock Taghazout is one of Morocco’s best beach breaks. Sandy bottom, but below the sand, there are occasionally rocks depending on the swell season. It is a perfect range for all levels, it operates from low tide to high, it fits perfectly up to 2m. Ideal for beginners offering lefts and punchy straight with a predominantly sandy bottom.

How to get there:

If you live in agadir, you can take a taxi or bus. If you pick up a taxi, you can talk with the driver to drive you to the beach,If not the driver will drop you on the road, you have to walk between 5 to 10 Minutes to reach the Spot.
